Hawthorne Berry Tincture (Crataegus species) is a valued medicinal herb. Used mainly for heart and circulatory disorders, it truly is food for the heart muscle. Hawthorne is well researched, notably a 1994 German trial showing Hawthorne improved heartbeat rate and lowered blood pressure. It's constituents include Bioflavonoids of Rutin and Quercitin, Triterpenoids, Oligomeric procyanidin, Amines (flowers only), Polyphenols, Coumarins, and Tannins. Its key actions are Cardiotonic, Dilates blood vessels, Relaxant, and Antioxidant. Used in conditions such as Angina and Coronary Artery Disease, also useful in mild congestive heart failure and irregular heartbeat. Like many herbs, it takes alittle time to see improvement, healing is gradual. Our tincture is made of Hawthorne Berries, Alcohol, Distilled Water, and Glycerin. Taken under the tongue at 20 drops a day - twice a day is recommended.
